EWOT: The Immune System Booster

EWOT: The Immune System Booster

Terry Shelton

EWOT (Exercise with Oxygen Therapy), is a potent therapy that involves performing mild to moderate exercise while breathing in concentrated oxygen. There are mechanisms through which EWOT exercise has positive effects and be an immune system booster.

Improved Oxygenation:

EWOT provides you with a high concentration of oxygen during exercise and in effect increases oxygen delivery to your body tissues through the saturation of blood plasma. Good levels of oxygen are essential for the proper immune cell function, as the role of oxygen determines various immune processes such as the regulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the fight against pathogens. In addition, EWOT use promotes the movement of immune cells throughout the body with a lasting effect of up to three hours after the EWOT session is complete.  It can be the best way to boost immune system function.

Enhanced Circulation:

EWOT use increases heart rate, dilates blood vessels, improves capillary function, lowers blood pressure, and stimulates Nitric Oxide production which all lead to better circulation.  EWOT therapy's ability to improve oxygen delivery through greater circulation plays a deep role at the cell level to help replace worn out or infected cells. Enhanced oxygen circulation works to improve immune system cell's ability to efficiently reach infected cellular sites, play a restorative role, and remove those waste products from your body.

Stress Reduction:

Regular EWOT use can reduce anxiety symptoms, improve the regulation of cortisol production, improve sleep, and help relax your body. These all work together to reduce stress. High stress levels can weaken the immune system, so stress reduction through EWOT exercise indirectly supports the immune function. A stronger immune system is a stronger you.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects:

The anti-inflammatory effects of regular EWOT use can improve the immune system functions by helping to regulate and balance the immune response. The immune system's overall function is to shield the body from harmful environmental invaders. These include bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. In addition, the immune system plays a significant role in the repair of damaged tissues. However, the immune system must work hard to balance and prevent the excessive inflammation that comes with age and can lead to chronic diseases and tissue damage. This is where EWOT's anti-inflammatory effect helps to positively influence the immune system. Some of the EWOT's anti-inflammatory effects are:

  • Reducing Stress-Induced Immune Suppression
  • Minimizing Autoimmune Responses
  • Reduced Hypoxia
  • Help prevent tissue damage that occurs from excessive inflammation
  • Improve respiratory function to alleviate inflammation associated with respiratory conditions

Enhanced Lymphatic Function:

EWOT exercise can stimulate the lymphatic system, which is essential for immune function. The lymphatic system helps remove waste products and pathogens from the body and transports immune cells to areas of infection. This occurs through several mechanisms such as increased rhythmic muscle contractions, enhanced circulation, lymphatic muscle activation, reduction in edema and swelling, immune cell transport, detoxification, and improved respiratory function.

Increased Production of Endorphins:

EWOT exercise stimulates the release of endorphins, which are the natural "feel-good" hormones. Endorphins can boost mood and overall well-being, potentially reducing stress and promoting a healthier immune system. The release of these hormones can be stimulated based upon the induced stress of EWOT exercise, the enhanced blood flow of EWOT, the improved oxygenation from EWOT, and the stimulation of the nervous system from EWOT exercise,

To sum up, EWOT can improve the body's ability to better withstand the constant invasion of harmful bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens that we are subjected to each and every day!
